Monitoring the effect of alloying elements segregation in Fe Mn Ni Al high Entropy alloy

Iron based high entropy alloy containing aluminum is facing a challenge in the liquid-solid transition regime due to its affinity segregation. In this research, segregation of alloying elements designed has been tracked after pouring special investment mold that possesses different modulus with fluctuated solidification time. Different compositions targeted were developed through melting pure metals induction furnace. X-ray Fluorescence (XRF), optical microscope, and SEM have used for monitoring chemical, phase constituents among regions solidification. addition, mechanical properties determined using uni-axis tensile test, impact toughness. It was well proved time significant effect on promoting characteristic iron aluminum. Aluminum shows percentage increasing observations decreasing enhance improve properties.
